It has often been claimed that the proper interpretation of the music of Fryderyk Chopin is a most elusive and challenging endeavor. The fragile balance between classicism and romanticism, as well as an essential Polishness weaved together with Italian, German and French elements present a formidable challenge to pianists. For this purpose, the Frost Chopin Academy brings together some of the world’s top specialists who have devoted their lives to Chopin’s music and invites them to share their wisdom with young talented aspiring pianists who share this passion for Chopin.

In partnership with the Chopin Foundation of the United States, whose mission is to assist young, talented American pianists develop their careers as international concert artists and make classical music, especially the music of Chopin, accessible to everyone, the Frost Chopin Academy is offering pianists up to the age of 30 the opportunity to take lessons, attend workshops and lectures, and perform within a densely packed few days at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
