Brief Description

The 6th Chopin Festival is delighted to welcome this year the Ted Rosenthal Trio, a world-class jazz piano trio, which will bring new perspectives to beloved classical music with an exciting jazz twist. Ted Rosenthal is a winner of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition and has released 15 CDs as a leader. His album Impromptu showcases his reimaginings of classical themes for jazz trio. Elliott Simon of AllAboutJazz said: “A serious listen to Impromptu will be a mind-changing experience...sit back and enjoy these wonderfully creative takes on ten compositions from the classical canon that have never sounded so cool.”
