The 4th Frost Chopin Festival returned to Miami offering free world-class classical music to everyone, courtesy of our donors. This edition presented five unforgettable performances at Maurice Gusman Concert Hall at the University of Miami featuring leading artists of our time Garrick Ohlsson, Kevin Kenner, Ewa Pobłocka, and Olga Pasichnyk, alongside rising star virtuosos students of the Frost Chopin Academy, enlightening workshops with Cambridge University Professor John Rink, as well as open lessons that were available to the general public each day.
The 4th Frost Chopin Festival directed all donations gathered during this edition to the Relief Fund for Ukrainian Musicians, created by the Lisa Batiashvili Foundation in Germany in cooperation with their non-profit partner in the U.S., the King Baudouin Foundation. Our festival stands side by side with the people of Ukraine in their battle to defend their country, history, culture, literature, art, and music. We especially feel the urgency of supporting Ukrainian musicians who have lost their work, concert halls, libraries, instruments, futures in music, and much more. Throughout the duration of our festival June 19-June 26, 2022, we were able to raise $10,406, an amount which directly provided grants for individual musicians in dire need of assistance.
